CHIEF EXORCIST

Hello Mr. Newman,

I couldn't help noticing that the subject below seemed intentionally alarmist
and seemed to be saying to me that I should be doing something other than what I
am. My further thoughts follow it;

I wonder how somebody becomes a chief exorcist? If must be a difficult professon
that requires unusual abilities to be good at or A "chief" exorcist would not be
so significant a title. It would seem that the headline in bold above would
imply;

a.) That the good chief (as good as he is), has not been able to exorcise his
chief rival (and as chief, he must be the best we have)from a home that it would
seem is inapporpiate for him to occupy.

b.)That the "good" chief exorcist is seeking to install fear and or control
lines on people confused enough to believe that an incompetant exorcist is
somebody that has a clearer take on reality and what is important here than they
do.

c.)If what the exhorcist says is true, is he asking us for help? is he seeking
to create division or enemies amongst men by saying the Catholics are worse than
the rest of us by hosting the devil? or is he inviting us to go hear the devil's
point of view so that he has a fair hearing finally?

I personally believe that sharing in a manner that inspires others to take
responsibility for their own lives, their own state of mind and their knowing of
their own truth is probably better than being a litle chicken and attempting to
make the rest of us the same by running arround and saying "the sky is falling
and the devil is now at the Vatican, REALLY!

No, not really. Everyone here is confused, even those with a clearly defined
purpose of fighting the great Satan. Whom even though this is his domain comes
to visit us about as often as a exalted man assends into heaven in the middle of
a crowd of athiests.

Yes chief, you have your demons and like ours, they are all within you. Handle
them and then tell us another good joke that makes us all belly laugh.

Lighten up.

David
