We live in a world of utter confusion, our own eternal nature we don’t know at all. When we do glimpse it; we immediately forget it again and yet; there is love here, there is wonder here, there is wonder here, but it is packaged in a struggle for survival that is monumental, traumatic and real.
This is life and death here,
struggle and strife
and the pleasures in life,
serve only to distract us,
in realizing our truth.
Our pains however;
are our signposts to enlightenment. The ability to love our pain, to follow it like Hansel and Grettle down the path of enlightenment, crumb by crumb is what brings us to our destination. It is in your pain that you find your greatest blessing; for therein lies all self knowledge, all of the information necessary for you to fully know your truth. That is why enlightenment is a journey of a singular experience of self embracing the absolute. It is not one that can be taught, you can only be orientated and then walk that path yourself.
So here is the orientation;
Meditate on what it is to be able to be quiet, to be able to look and focus with precision on the actual sensation of discomfort that you have in your body. Feel it, look closer, embrace it, feel it more and dive into the unknown and yet knowingly painful realization that is available for you, in each of your embodied traumas. As you embrace them, as you open in your willingness to know what is there; you receive that which you wish to know. So focus on that which is most disturbing to you in yourself, in your body right now. That which is most disabling to you is shouting for your attention; allow it to reveal itself to you fully and completely and absolutely.
This is not a questioning proccedure, although that also has its place; this is just pure experience, pure openness, to feeling, to knowing, to embracing whatever it is. You do it without effort and the trick is to focus completely, in an effortless way; where all of your awareness is used to pierce that which you have protected yourself from knowing. What you don’t know is shouting for you to pay attention. This process doesn’t happen in an instant; it moves and moves and moves. Digs and digs and digs, until you come to a core realization, that life is not as it seems to be.
Don’t be distracted with the pleasures of life, embrace them fully, sure, but don’t let them fool you into thinking that they are your only purpose in your existence here. They can be sublime peace, joy and love in experiencing the wonders in life. At the same time, there can be wisdom, knowledge and understanding gained by embracing the dark side of life; the knowing of that which creates the structure of your existence here.
As you are going through the process, you may want to record each minor realization, because for you to get to your core disturbance, you can go through hundreds of minor ones and unless you write down those things that you have to do to free yourself from the entanglements that your life is in, you will remain entangled and your life will be owned by those entanglements.
The process of becoming spiritually free and physically free, is a step by step one. One that you are the conductor, the engineer and the articect of and the map for that journey, is the pain and discomforts that you experience. So write them down into a todo list as you realize what needs to be done.
One of the first realizations that you will have is to use the best tool that you have available to you to accomplish the job that you have at hand. Don’t use the right tool on the wrong job, each job requires a specific tool, don’t ask somebody to be something that they are not, even though they want to be that themselves and say that they can be. Observe for yourself that which they are an expert in and that which they love to do and if you need that which they are an expert in and that which they love to do; hire them for that only, not for something that they would like to do that they don’t know anything about. If they have not proven to others that they are able to succeed every time in producing what you need from them; don’t use them. Use experts in life; an expert is able to succeed every time in their chosen arena of expertise and delivers that result to others dependably.
So if you have to ask yourself a question in your path of awakening, it is; what clues have you left for yourself to find, that will result in your awakening into your self realization of your eternal nature?
