Dreams, how do we awaken from them or within them?

An interesting thing about our reality here, is that we are always certain that what we are currently aware of is real and that there is nothing else likely to be real.

And yet, every night we go to sleep, lose consciousness and shift realities. We dream and in those dreams, to us they are then the only reality that we know our existence to be and the dream reality is as real to us then as our normal waking reality is to us now.

Once in a while, we have a lucid dream or even rarer, an awakening to norman consciousness within a dream: where we now know we are in a dream with our full waking consciousness, yet fully able to participate in and enjoy the dream reality. When this happens, we know we are dreaming, we know that we have manufactured this dream reality ourselves and as a result, we have a substantial degree of control within the dream and with our normal consciousness we experience the expanded freedoms we have in the dream state: flying, shifting locations and heightened creativity. We are able to do and experience many things that we are not able to do and experience in our normal reality.

We all have experiences of two realities that we experience separately as real to us. Which brings us now to mans search for enlightenment, heaven, god consciousness etc... All of us have had experiences which we remember as momentary flashes of a greater reality than our normal waking consciousness and when they are over, they almost completely disappear in minutes of ending and are usually forgotten in their entirely within a few days. They are even less available to us than our dreams are, just as our normal reality is less available to us when dreaming than our dream reality is available to us when awake.

Wether you can remember any of your numerous instances of awakening to a greater consciousness and awareness or not in this moment, you have numerous books and stories available to you detailing the awakenings of others in the dream of this reality and it is no different really than awakening in your dream reality to your normal consciousness. When you awaken in this reality to a level of enlightenment, you know that you have just awakened in a dream here and that you are “back home” to your normal state of consciousness and you are able to operate here much like you can in an awakened dream: your limitations have been lightened and you know, understand, have abilities to act in a manner far superior than your normal level of consciousness. However just like in awakening in a lucid dream with your normal consciousness: its not normal to be here in the world, awakened as an enlightened consciousness and when you fall back asleep again as we all do: we are asleep again and no longer aware of our transcendent reality and our sleeping reality is all that you are conscious of and you have no ability from your sleeping consciousness to command yourself to awaken.

Since this transcendent consciousness appears desirable to live in as our “home” consciousness here:

How do you do that on a continuous basis? It doesn’t look like very many people have succeeded and so seems to be a bit of a trick or happenstance. There appear to be no verifiable paths to follow that work on more than say, one in a million. Everyone who seems to have done it well has had a major religion formed from their teachings and path and yet few or none of their followers are able to use those teachings and walk those paths to a knowing of self as an enlightened, divine or transcendent consciousness.

Is there a path or a technique that will awaken everyone who is asleep that desires to awaken within the dream here as their truth?

What controls our awakening in in the dream of our life here?

To be continued...
