God Knows

God knows that I would like to be you,
God knows that I would like it to be true,
God knows that there are room for two,
God knows truth when he knows that he is you.
God, what do you know as me too?

I know the heavens and the earth, I know the joys of frendly mirth, I know the
angels and the damned, I know the lion and the lamb. I know the fig upon the
tree, I know the truth of you and me. I know that together we are free, because
eternally we do see.
