Realization is the conscious recognition that you already are and always have been, that which you were seeking to become. This is achieved through a diligent, focused observation of that which you have accepted to be you and believe that you are, which when challenged by your direct objective, observation, is revealed to you to have been a mistaken and false identification of self as a creation, object, beingness and personality.
