If you make or accept the premise that you need to improve dramatically to be divine, then you have just damned yourself. The condition that the body and the life are in have nothing to do whatsoever with whether or not that body and that life can be divinely conscious. Things will change as the consciousness changes, but the limiting factor on what happens is not the body, it’s the consciousness. So free your consciousness by allowing all to be.
Don’t look at your life to try to change it, first look at it so that you see it fully without effort, without intention, without an impulse to change anything.
